On the occasion of the celebration of International Noise Awareness Day-2025, as part of the "Integrated and Partnership Project for Noise Pollution Control" implemented by the Department of Environment, a mobile court was conducted simultaneously across the country on 30/04/2025 AD. A mobile court was conducted against organizations and vehicles exceeding the permitted noise level in different places of Sadar Upazila of Lalmonirhat district by the joint initiative of the Department of Environment, Lalmonirhat District Office and District Administration Lalmonirhat. During this, 02 (two) CNC 3D/4D wooden furniture organizations and 06 (six) vehicle drivers were fined 13,000/-(thirteen thousand) Taka for using horns exceeding the permitted noise level in their vehicles and 12 (twelve) hydraulic horns were seized and destroyed. The mobile court was conducted by the Senior Assistant Secretary and learned Executive Magistrate of Lalmonirhat District Administration, Mr. Mir Faisal Ali and Mr. Rawjatun Jannat, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate, Mr. Shahriar Tanvir Ahmed and Mr. Mostaq Ahmed Kapot. The Assistant Director of the Department of Environment, Lalmonirhat, Mr. Bijon Kumar Roy was present at the time. The Inspector of this office, Mr. Md. Golam Asif Rahman, acted as the prosecutor in the above mobile court. In addition, a group of police members of the district administration assisted in the operation of the mobile court. To protect the environment and control air pollution, the Department of Environment, Lalmonirhat District Office will continue such campaigns against noise pollution.
