Press release regarding mobile courts in 04 brick kilns located in Aditmari Upazila of Lalmonirhat

On 20/01/2025, a mobile court was conducted against 04 brick kilns located in Aditmari under the joint initiative of the Upazila Administration, Aditmari and the Department of Environment, Lalmonirhat for violating the Brick Manufacturing and Kiln Establishment (Control) Act, 2013 (Amended 2019). At that time, a fine of 5,20,000/-(Five Lakh Twenty Thousand) Taka was imposed on 04 (four) brick kilns located in Aditmari for manufacturing bricks in violation of the provisions of the said act. The judicial duties in the mobile court were performed by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Mr. Md. Rawjatun Jannat and the prosecution was provided by Inspector of the District Environment Department Md. Golam Asif Rahman. At that time, a group of members of the Aditmari Police Division and Fire Service, Aditmari assisted in conducting the operation. The list of brick kilns is as follows:

02 M/s Sun-2 has been fined 1,00,000/-(one lakh) taka.

03 M/s JR Bricks has been fined 20,000/-(twenty thousand) taka.

04 One Star Bricks 2,00,000/-(two lakhs) taka.


Such campaigns against brick kilns will continue by the Department of Environment, Lalmonirhat District Office for environmental protection and air pollution control.
