On the occasion of “Youth Festival-2025 and BSCIC Entrepreneur Fair”, on February 19, 2025, a cleanliness drive program was organized at the venue of the fair, Collectorate Field, Lalmonirhat, by the initiative of the Department of Environment, Lalmonirhat District Office. The “Zero Waste Brigade, Lalmonirhat” formed by the initiative of the Department of Environment, Lalmonirhat District Office carried out the cleanliness drive. Since the first day of the fair, the “Zero Waste Brigade, Lalmonirhat” has been organizing this drive as part of its regular program every afternoon. Mr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Lalmonirhat and Mr. Bijon Kumar Roy, Assistant Director, Department of Environment, Lalmonirhat District Office and Mr. Md. Jahangir Alam, Deputy Manager, BSCIC District Office, Lalmonirhat were present to encourage the participants in the cleanliness program on the last day of the fair. They actively participated in the cleanliness drive with the Zero Waste Brigade team. At the end of the program, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman said that since the beginning of the Zero Waste Brigade, Lalmonirhat has been conducting cleanliness programs every day to make the visitors, buyers and sellers who come to the fair aware and only if everyone is aware from their own place can a clean society be formed. The main objective of “Zero Waste Brigade, Lalmonirhat” is to create public awareness. He expressed special thanks to Zero Waste Brigade, Lalmonirhat and Department of Environment, Lalmonirhat.
